H. E. Abulkalam Abdul Momen

Chairman of Board of Advisors

Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations, is a Vice-President of the UNICEF Executive Board. Prior to his appointment to the U.N. He served as Chairman of the Department of Economics and Business Administration, Framingham State College, Massachusetts. He has also worked as an Economic Adviser at the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF), Ministry of Finance and National Economy, and in the Bangledesh Government in various capacities.

He holds a PhD. in economics from Northeastern University and an MBA in management science and international marketing from Harvard University.

He was elected Chair of the Second Committee (Economic and Financial) on 22 June 2011. He has served as his country’s Permanent Representative since August 2009. Prior to that, he served as Chairman of the Department of Economics and Business Administration, Framingham State College, Massachusetts, where he taught courses in management, quantitative methods and marketing research in both the graduate and undergraduate programmes since 2003. He worked as an Economic Adviser at the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF), Ministry of Finance and National Economy, as an American expert, from 1998 to 2003, and departed when the United States Embassy asked staff to leave the country due to successive bomb blasts that rocked the Saudi capital, Riyadh. His previous Bangladesh Government service includes that of Private Secretary to the Minister of Rural Development, Local Government and Cooperatives from 1973 to 1974; Private Secretary to the Minister of Trade and Commerce, and Mineral Resources and Petroleum from 1974 to 1975; Section Officer, South Asia, East Asia and Middle East, Ministry of Commerce from 1975 to 1976; and Director, Office of the President’s Advisor on Trade and Commerce from 1976 to 1978. Bangladesh’s new envoy holds a Doctor of Philosophy in economics from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts (1988); a Master of Business Administration in management science and international marketing from Harvard University (1979); a Bachelor of Laws in law and jurisprudence from Central College, Dhaka, Bangladesh (1976); a Master of Arts in development economics and international trade; and a Bachelor of Arts in economics, both from Dhaka University (1971 and 1969, respectively).

Craig Serio
He is currently Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for Capital Asset Advisors of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Capital Asset Advisors invests in early stage healthcare technology companies. Mr. Serio has previously served as Managing Director at TRG Capital in Washington, D.C., CEO of Administrative Enterprises Inc. in Glendale Arizona, CEO of WNS Healthclaims and was a member of the senior executive team at ClaimsBPO in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He has served as member of the board of directors for WNS North America in New York, NY, TRG Healthcare in Washington, D.C. and Administrative Enterprises, Inc.

Daniel Mitchell
Daniel Mitchell Based in Bangkok, with experience throughout the emerging markets of Asia, Daniel Mitchell is the CEO and Managing Director of SRP International Group Ltd., and Investor, and advisory firm focused on developing opportunities in the emerging markets in Asia. Mr. Mitchell has over 19 years of business experience in Asia in the areas of international finances, business planning, and program management in the automotive, aviation, general manufacturing, timber, agriculture and renewable energy sectors. From November 2008 through November 2012, Mr. Mitchell served as CEO of Grandis Timber Ltd., A Cambodian joint venture co-founded by SRP International Group and Capricorn Forest Fund K/S of Denmark. Utilizing Danish and Swedish pension fund capital, the operation was developed from a smart-up into a leading plantation development, recognized for high financial returns and development of the best practices in the area of social responsibility and environment sustainability through its innovative approaches. SRP International Group maintains a consulting and advisory practice, focused in the areas of strategic and business planning, emerging market investment and business development, and corporate social responsibility, strategic planning and implementation. The industries of focus are automotive, general manufacturing, forestry, and renewable energy. Prior to joining SRP International Group, full-time in, Mr. Mitchell was the Head of Strategic Planning and Merges & Acquisitions for Ford Motor Company’s automotive components division, Visteon, based in their Tokyo offices. Prior to this Mr. Mitchell was a Manager in charge of Strategic Planning for Mitsubishi Motors, in their Los Angeles office. Mr. Mitchell began his career in Detroit as a program Manager as ASC Inc., a specialty automotive manufacturing company, where he was in charge joint vehicle development program with Mitsubishi Motors. Mr. Mitchell holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Illinois and a Masters of Business Administrator from Miami University (Ohio).

Santiago Corrada
President & Chief Executive Officer, Visit Tampa Bay

He provides local experience, management skills, industry knowledge, collaboration expertise and overall leadership ability as well as his passion for Tampa Bay.

With more than 20 years of public service and management experience, Corrada most recently served as Chief of Staff for the City of Tampa. In this role, he coordinated and integrated the efforts of more than 50 City departments and divisions. In his tenure with city government, Corrada participated in bidding and hosting efforts for large meetings and groups including Super Bowl XLIII and the 2012 Republican National Convention. He serves on various not-for-profit boards including The Florida Aquarium, Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo, Glazer Children's Museum, David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts, Tampa Bay History Center, Tampa Museum of Art and Tampa Theatre - all current partners of the tourism organization he now leads.

Prior to joining the City of Tampa in 2004 as Neighborhood Services Administrator, Corrada served as the Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Miami and spent 17 years in the Miami-Dade County School System. Corrada graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Miami with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Exceptional Student Education as well as a Master's in Education.

Peter Wollman
He is based in China, originally from Long Beach, California. He runs his own company supplying Plant and machinery to make building materials out of Bamboo. Peter’s experience spans much of the developing world, having spent the past 18 years working out of China, selling machinery and setting up plants in Africa , China, India , Vietnam & Southeast Asia. He speaks Mandarin fluently , and currently has active ventures to sell and install machinery and commission production and trade finished product with developed markets, in particular the US and the UK.

Anil Bansal
Mr. Bansal has been active in the South Asian business community and is presently President of Asian Indian Chamber of Commerce. He is one of the Founders and Chairman of Indus American Bank. He is also the Co-Chairman of IA Bancorp, the holding company of the bank. IAB was selected in 2009 by NJ BIZ as one of New Jersey’s top 50 fastest growing companies. Indus American Bank is headquartered in Iselin, New Jersey. Indus American Bank offers Personal Banking, Mortgage Lending, Commercial Banking, SBA Loans, Credit and Debit Cards, Merchant Payment Processing and Online Banking Services.

An alumnus of IIT Kanpur (B.Tech), University of Notre Dame (M.S. Materials Science) and Syracuse University (MBA), Mr. Bansal worked with numerous institutions in the US before embarking on setting up his own businesses. He has led successful computer and real estate companies and his interests include investments in the restaurant business. He is presently CEO of First National Corporation, a real estate investment and management company and Chairman of vSplash, an international web design and development company.

Dr. Vivek Gupta
He is presently working as Senior Interventional Cardiologist in Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi. He has been carrying out the clinical and invasive work of Coronary angiography, balloon angioplasty / Stenting and Valvuloplasty and pacemakers. He is also actively associated with and International NGO (Founder President) by the name of M.I. International Heart & Health Care Foundation. He is also the Founder President of an NGO registered in Paris by name of M.I. International Heart and Healthcare Association. He is Founder Course Chairman for International Cardiology teaching Course, Indo European Course on Revascularization (IECR).

Dr Gupta is also instrumental in bringing the concept of Free Treatment of Life Saving Bypass Surgery and Angioplasty for the poor patients of India. Foreign medical Students from France and other European Countries join Dr. Gupta regularly. Dr. Gupta is often referred as the bridge between European and Indian Cardiologists.

Dilip Dalal
He has thirty plus years of experience providing Financial, Strategic and Operational leadership in uniquely challenging situations. Innovative and results-driven leader focused on Mergers and Acquisitions, Private Equity and Debt Funding, Advisory Services, International Operations etc.

President (2012-13), Indo- American Society, Member, Managing Committee Indian Merchants’ Chambers, Recipient of Maharashtra State Govt. recognition for Highest Social Service Performer in the state. He has studied B. Sc.(Economics) at the London School of Economics & Political Science.
